Part of the INTELHEART project team recently participated in the 1st International Congress of Digital Medicine – CYBENCE 2024, held on November 2, 2024, in Belgrade, Serbia. This groundbreaking event brought together experts in medicine, engineering, and information technology from Serbia and abroad, including esteemed professionals in fields such as cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, nephrology, gastroenterology, dermatology, and surgery, alongside software and hardware engineers and representatives from key health institutions in Serbia.
The goal of CYBENCE 2024 was to showcase the advances and potential of digital medicine, explore practical solutions for integrating digital tools into healthcare, and discuss ethical considerations. This congress provided an excellent platform for sharing the latest innovations in digital medicine and fostered valuable connections among participants.
Representing INTELHEART, Dr. Smiljana Tomašević, a Research Associate at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac, held the lecture “AI-driven Decision Support System for Heart Failure Diagnosis: Innovations and Applications Towards Personalized Treatment Strategies”, while Momčilo Prodanović, a Research Assistant at the Institute for Information Technologies, Kragujevac, gave a lecture titled “Computational Modeling of Familial Cardiomyopathies and Treatments: From Molecular Mechanisms to Whole-Heart Function.”
We extend our gratitude to INTELHEART team members, Dr. Stefan Simović, Chairman of CYBENCE and Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Kragujevac, as well as to Dr. Goran Davidović, full professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Kragujevac, for their pivotal roles in organizing this event. INTELHEART team is inspired by this gathering and looks forward to shaping the future of digital medicine together.
