This summer, Dr. Smiljana Tomašević, a research associate at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac, and the newly appointed coordinator of the INTELHEART project, attended the prestigious 6th European Youth Leaders Workshop, held in Beijing and Ningxia, People’s Republic of China (August 19-27, 2024). The event, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, brought together over 25 representatives from European countries and served as a platform for fostering enhanced China-Europe dialogue and cooperation. During the workshop, Dr. Tomašević participated in insightful discussions on elevating the visibility of scientific breakthroughs and technological innovations and contributed to promoting cutting-edge research and AI-driven healthcare solutions, raising awareness of the INTELHEART project’s vision and mission. The workshop also offered a unique opportunity to strengthen international cooperation across diverse fields and gain deeper insights into China’s economic development, strategies, and rich cultural heritage. This experience provided not only valuable insights but also created exciting opportunities for future global collaboration!
In addition, based on the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on scientific and technological cooperation and joint statements on building a Chinese-Serbian community with a common future in the new era, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia has opened a public call for young researchers to apply for a stay in the People’s Republic of China for a period of 6 to 12 months.
