The IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics & Bioengineering (BIBE2024)

The INTELHEART team proudly contributed to the 24th IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Bioengineering (BIBE 2024), on November 27-29, 2024 in Kragujevac, Serbia. This conference fosters collaboration between bioinformatics, bioengineering, and biomedicine. As the longest-running IEEE conference of its kind, BIBE is renowned for showcasing research that addresses critical challenges in medicine, biological systems, and healthcare technology.                                                                                                           

 

This year’s conference emphasized the transformative potential of interdisciplinary approaches in advancing our understanding of living organisms, developing bio-prosthetics, and refining tools for disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. The INTELHEART team presented three papers, each reflecting cutting-edge research in numerical methods and AI:                                      

  1. AI-driven Decision Support System for Heart Failure Diagnosis: INTELHEART Approach Towards Personalized Treatment Strategies

    This study introduced an advanced AI-driven system designed to enhance the diagnosis and management of heart failure, emphasizing personalized treatment strategies.              
  2. Short Overview of Left Ventricular Action Potential Simulations: Integrating Numerical Methods with Machine Learning
    Authors: Bogdan Milicevic, Miljan Milosevic, Vladimir Milovanovic, Mina Vaskovic Jovanovic, Milos Kojic, and Nenad Filipovic
    This paper examined the integration of numerical methods and machine learning to simulate left ventricular action potentials, offering novel insights for computational cardiology.                                                                                                                                            
  3. Estimating the Effect of Danicamtiv on Human Cardiac Function
    Authors: Momcilo Prodanovic, Vanja Cvetkovic, Andjela Grujic, and Srboljub Mijailovich
    Focused on therapeutic advancements, this research evaluated the effects of Danicamtiv on human cardiac function, contributing to the development of potential treatments for cardiac disorders.

Participation in BIBE 2024 highlights INTELHEART’s commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and technological innovation in bioinformatics and bioengineering.
