The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, together with the National Science Foundation of the Republic of China, organized an online conference on April 11, 2024, dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence (AI) with the aim of exchanging the experience of Serbian and Chinese scientists in this important research field.
5 projects of Serbian scientists and 5 projects of Chinese scientists who implement AI development projects in the fields of environmental protection and pollution reduction, Industry 4.0 and intelligent systems in industry, medicine, energy and energy system management were presented. At the conference, projects financed through the programs of the Fund for Science were presented: MISSION 4.0 and ARTEMIS from the Program for the development of projects in AI field, projects crAIRsis and INTELHEART from the PRIZMA program, as well as the AIAQUAMI project supported through the IDEJA program.
Through the PRIZMA program, within the AI subprogram, 8 projects are currently supported, one of which is the INTELHEART project. The INTELHEART project was presented by the project coordinator Dr. Nenad Filipović, а full professor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac. Members of the project team from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac, an assistant professor Dr. Tijana Geroski and research assistant Dr. Smiljana Tomašević, also attended the conference.
The conference enabled the exchange of experience, research challenges and new knowledge about solutions in the field of AI. The goal of such conferences is to open space for communication on important scientific topics, but also to discover opportunities for further cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence development, which represents one of the most important areas of modern science.
